The centrepiece is carved with script, most likely a seal design of the kind once used to mark ownership or authenticity rather than simply decorate. We can't confirm exactly what it says, but the intaglio work itself is the kind of detail that took real patience, cut by hand into stone long before anyone thought to mass produce this sort of thing. The silver around it is aged rather than polished, and the carnelian beads carry that same worn-in warmth, the kind of piece that was clearly made to be worn heavily, not kept for good.

Substantial enough to wear alone, no other jewellery required. Sits well against most necklines given the weight and length, and works equally with linen or something dressier come evening.
